Do you have family stories that Patrick Reynolds came to the Deadwood area or are you assuming this area due to his leaving his family after 1875 +- ?

Name: Margaret Reynolds

Age: 42
Estimated birth year: abt 1838
Birthplace: Ireland
Relation to Head of Household: Self (Head)
Father's birthplace: Ireland
Mother's birthplace: Ireland
Neighbors: View others on page
Occupation: Keeping House
Marital Status: Widowed
Race: White

Household Members: Name Age

Margaret F. Reynolds 12 b abt 1868 MA
James T. Reynolds 10 b abt 1870 MA
Catherine Reynolds 8 b abt 1872 MA
Elizabeth Reynolds 6 b abt 1874 MA

Do you know anymore about Patrick Reynold's pedigree such as father, mother & siblings?

Deadwood is a long way from Easton, Bristol, Massachusetts to be coming by yourself. Perhaps he came with other relatives or associates known to him in Massachusetts.

Y-DNA testing on a male Reynolds in your family can reveal many new cousins and the geographical location of your Reynolds origins. These tests can tell you a lot for under $500.

Good luck in your genealogical  journey.

Are there any references to a Patrick Reynolds from Massachusetts, or the New England are who may have died during the South Dakota gold rush (about 1879)?  According to family stories he went west from Massachusetts in search of a fortune and his family never knew any more.  There is a guess of a death date of 1879, but not anything definitive.  He left 5 children and a wife named Margaret.  I would appreciate any information.  Thankyou.   If there is a better way to get any information would someone please direct me.   Patricia.     jsnelson56@gmail.com
