RE: Harris Franklin

Thank You! I am wondering if you have any information on Barney Franklin and Anna (not his wife) mentioned in Burials Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Harris. I see the names listed together in a few other places and they are buried in the same Lot and section but I haven't found any information on their connection to Harris.

Harris Franklin

I am looking for any information on the family of Harris Franklin. He was a relative of my Great Grandmother Anna Franklin Jacobson and I am looking for the connection. Her original last name was Finkelstein and she was from Russia, Poland. She and her husband Joseph Julius Jacobson a miner, came to Deadwood in the 1890's, had 6 children all born in Lawrence Co, except Morris Jacobson (born 1889).  Julius died 12/11/1906.  Morris Jacobson (oldest son) quit school to support the family.   Anna was eventually committed to Yankton State Hospital, where she died in 1943.  Morris married Delores Nelson they had 2 daughters and lived in Deadwood until his death in 1943.  All but Delores are buried at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.    Thank you
