Deadwood letter list March 31. Keithley, John. March 31, 1895
I'm researching an ancestor of mine William R Keithley (also spelled Keithly). He was born in 1825 in Missouri to John Keithly and Elizabeth Gordon and died after 1900. William was an attorney and involved in mining. He lived in many states, including South Dakota. I see a W.R. Keithly is listed as having run for mayor in Deadwood and a 'judge' who was not viewed favorably. I believe that is 'my' W.R. Keithly and am quite interested in learning more about him or getting in contact with other researchers. I've included a link to my blog that lists my some of the information I've gathered about him.
