Sometime during Christmas night, a shot was fired on Seiver street, and the ball, not less than 45 calibre, passed through the side of the house of Peter Kopplecomb lives, passing over the bed on which he and his wife were sleeping, and out through the side of the house, and struck a building some distance off, where it glanced and fell. Frank Zipp and his men returned from a Christmas party at his Crow Peak ranch yesterday forenoon. After arriving at his store, Frank disarmed and put away his artillery. A British Bull Dog, 45 calibre, formed part of his armament, and from this he removed all the cartridges but two, and thinking they were all out, a young man in his employ took it, and as it was self-****ing, soon had an explosion, the ball crashing through a heavy French plate glass window, shivering it to atoms, and striking the frozen ground in the street, flattened out and quit.
