RE: Gene McPhee marriage Mattie Vail 1888

The reference of Mattie Vail on the photography page was noted as she was portrait painter. I am not aware of any photographs of her and Gene McPhee; however, the couple is noted to have been married in Chicago in May of 1888. You might obtain the full copy of that newspaper article from Deadwood Public Library. It might give more detail as to whom married them and at what church. They may have published a wedding announcement in the local newspapers in Chicago at the time.

Gene McPhee marriage Mattie Vail 1888

Hi,
First off, thank you for putting so much Deadwood information on the web.
I'm researching the McPhee settlers of Lead, SD and noticed you have a reference
'McPhee and Vail married.
In regard to: McPhee, Gene.
In regard to: Vail, Mattie.
May 18, 1888'
on your Dwd Photographers deadwoodphotographers.blogspot.com page.

Does this mean that there is a photo of the couple somewhere?

If there is, could you please tell me if it is possible to get a scanned copy of the it?

Thanks & regards
Robin
