24510 |a Three inexperienced youths of this city, Frank DeMouth, Green Irwin and Al Burnham, have torn themselves from business, domestic felicity and the dance houses, and goes out on a hunt. At least that was their excuse, as given to their friends. They went in a wagon, propelled by mules, and were armed with bows and arrows, a boomerang, and a two gallon jug, and are supposed to have gone off in the direction of Missouri, as Green Irwin was driving. The friends of the party are becoming somewhat uneasy for their safety, as they have been gone long enough to have eaten up all the grub they started with, and having no confidence in their ability to kill any game, knowing their early education wouldn't permit their stealing, they think they may possibly be in a suffering condition.
